Navigating Through Health Roadblocks
Now, think back to a time when something could have or maybe has prevented you from staying on track.
What was it? How did you get back on track? What if you didn't; what could you try?
Need a real example? YES! I'll share mine!
I have been working on boosting my physical activity level. I was about to walk on the treadmill a few weeks ago, but between my workouts, it performed an update. The potential roadblock was due to the update. I was unsuccessful at locating the "maps" section where I choose the route I want to follow for the workout. It's a tool that offers a change of scenery and different intensity levels too.
Then if that wasn't enough to throw my efforts off, the next roadblock had been the Pandora app was performing maintenance. So my go-to tunes were on hold, and I needed to find the right beats to keep me moving forward.
Both of these could have left me feeling frustrated and unmotivated enough to ditch my physical activity. However, neither one stopped me! Brainstorming my options to navigate through these roadblocks and coming up with a plan; kept me moving forward!
How?
I decided to try a NEW workout! Although it wasn't my usual, it was something that pushed me to obtain my workout minutes!
I switched up my music and turned to my playlist on my phone. I'm so glad I have a favorites list!
