Ultimate Chocolate Chip Bars
Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup whole white wheat flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 stick + 3 Tbsp. butter, softened
1/3 cup olive oil
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup light brown sugar
1 1/4 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 cup + 1/4 cup chocolate chips
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 15x10" jelly roll pan.
In a large bowl, combine flours and baking soda.
In another bowl, beat butter, oil, sugars, and vanilla. Add one egg at a time, mixing well after each one.
Pour the wet mixture into the flour mixture and stir until combined. Stir in 1 cup of chocolate chips.
Spread mixture into pan and sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup chips on top. Bake for 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on a wire rack. Consume them warm or serve cooled; either way, you will enjoy them.
