Pumpkin Chai Latte

If you are a pumpkin lover and looking for a warm & comforting beverage, then you need to make this! The best part is you don't need any fancy kitchen gadgets or work in a coffee shop to make this delicious recipe. All you need is 10 minutes and a few everyday kitchen tools to make this.

It's the perfect fall drink that pairs well with most breakfast options (ex. eggs & toast, cereal, & parfaits) or enjoy as an afternoon tea break.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup water

1-spiced chai tea bag (reg or decaf)

1/2 cup 1% milk (or milk of choice)

2 Tbsp. pumpkin puree

1 tsp. maple syrup

1/4 tsp. vanilla

1/4 tsp. pumpkin spice

1/2 tsp. cornstarch

Optional: whipped cream, cinnamon

Directions:

1. In a small saucepan, bring water to a boil. Set pan aside and add the tea bag, allowing it to brew for 5 mins (let the tea bag steep longer if you want more flavor). Using a spoon, remove any excess water within the tea bag and discard. *

2. Add remaining ingredients, except the optional ones, and whisk until smooth. Pour the mixture into a blender and blend until creamy.

3. To warm the latte, pour it back into the saucepan and slightly heat. Then pour into cup and top with optional whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon.

*Quick method - Bring an electric kettle to a boil. Then pour 1/2 cup of hot water into a medium liquid measuring cup, add the teabag. Steep for 5 minutes and remove excess water using a spoon (being careful not to burn your fingers). Pour directly into the blender and add the remaining ingredients. Blend until creamy.

Hot: Pour into a microwavable cup and heat for about 30 seconds, being careful not to burn yourself when removing from the microwave. Add optional ingredients.

Cold: In a large cup, pour over ice and top with optional ingredients.
